Planning and Zoning

The Planning and Zoning Division prepares, implements, and updates current and long range town plans, meets with the public regarding proposed neighborhood and community plans, and coordinates planning activities with those of neighboring communities. The division provides staff assistance to the Planning Commission and to the town’s Sustainability Committee, and does a substantial amount of work in the area of economic development.

The Planning and Zoning Division is also responsible for administering the Winnebago County Town-County Zoning Ordinance for all properties outside of shoreland.  All requests for approval of new developments, new signage, or zoning changes must be reviewed by the division.
