  • Fox Valley Technical College offers a variety of seminars, workshops, and contracted services geared toward Small Business and Entrepreneurship.  Click here for more information.
  • Fox Valley Technical College E-Seed Program is a 12-week entrepreneurship training series assisting in start-up and early-stage entrepreneurs developing management and planning tools for their business ventures.  No cost information sessions are provided discussing starting a business and provide information on Entrepreneurship Training Program Funding (ETP).  Click here for information or call their Appleton office at (920) 735-2525.
  • Advocap Business Development Program helps low income individuals gain self-sufficiency through self-employment.  The services offered to participants are business plan development, marketing plan development and implementation, small business administration micro-loan application assistance, additional financial resource development, managerial evaluation, referral services, loan preparation, employee recruitment assistance, completing applications and various tax forms.  Click here for information or call (920) 426-0150 or 1-800-323-0150.
  • Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce is an organization dedicated to creating and developing a positive economic, political, and social climate in the Fox Cities, thereby making it possible for members and the community to grow and prosper.  The programs offered by the Chamber are SCORE, worker recruitment, a Monthly Morning Business Advice breakfast program, and providing information on economic and demographic trends, data on wages and benefits, and quality of life information.  Click here for information or call (920) 734-7101 or 1-800-999-3224.

  • State of Wisconsin Department of Commerce has many programs to aid businesses among them are the Business Assistance Program, Business Development Assistance Center, Business Sector Specialists, Forward Wisconsin, the Office and Science and Technology, Resources for Women Entrepreneurs, and many more.  Click here to see if these state programs can help your business.
  • Workforce Development Board, a division of the State of Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (click here for more information), works with the public and private sector to help provide affordable training and employment opportunities.  It also provides employers with access to employees.  Click here for more information or call (920) 720-5600.
    • An offshoot of the Workforce Development Center is the Career Changers Network. CCN is a FREE service for those who are un-employed or are seeking new career opportunities in the professional, managerial, executive, and sales career tracks.  This group also provides an anonymous place to network, access to support provided by the Department of Workforce Development, guest speakers, and the opportunity to meet with recruiters, HR professionals, and retired business associates to discuss career opportunities and strategies.  Click here for more information or call (920) 997-3272 ext. 430.
