Getting Involved and Leaving a Legacy

There are many opportunities for individuals, organizations, or businesses to become involved in the Fox Crossing Parks and Recreation Department.

The history of parks and recreation is founded in citizens becoming active, from John Muir and the development of our National Park System, to the 300 plus individuals/organizations who donated time and money toward the development of the Trestle Trail.  Our continued success depends on your involvement!

The best analogy to describe the importance of getting involved is the planting of a tree.  The tree you plant today will not benefit you but will benefit the generations to come!

The Fox Crossing Parks and Recreation Department has established three specific opportunities for you to become involved.

Individual / Corporate Giving
This may take place in many forms, from sponsoring a specific recreation program or special event to donating toward a specific area of park development or redevelopment.  Examples include the generous yearly donations by Evergreen Credit Union to sponsor the Family Entertainment Series, Filthy Fun Kids Run, Arbor Day Celebration and more.  Or the in-kind donation by Miron Construction towards the Fritse Park Development Project.  To learn more about specific donation opportunities, please click here.

Volunteering
You may have an expertise or just simply a few hours that you would like to share with the community.  Volunteer opportunities range from individually taking on a task, to participating in Village of Fox Crossing organized events, to helping out with an activity developed specifically for your organization.  For more information, please click here.

Memorial / Recognition Giving
This is an opportunity to recognize or memorialize someone special while contributing to the beautification of the overall Fox Crossing Parks and Recreation System.
