Kachinsky was elected Municipal Judge in 1997.


Kachinsky is an attorney at Kachinsky Law Offices in Fox Crossing concentrating on appeals.  He is certified as a Criminal Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. After winning an ROTC Scholarship at Appleton East, he earned degrees in speech and politics and government at Ripon College and a law degree at UW-Madison.


Kachinsky has been married to his wife Barb since 1976 with two grown children and two cats.  He is a lay minister at St. Margaret Mary Church.  He is a member of the Reserve Officers Association, American Legion, Fox Valley Greenways, Neenah Animal Shelter, NE Wisconsin Veterans Museum and Pacesetters Running Club.  Prior to election as municipal judge, Kachinsky was active in partisan politics.  After graduating from law school, he served as an active duty JAG officer.  Following release from active duty in 1982, he remained in the Army Reserve.  He was activated once for Operation Desert Storm and twice for Operation Enduring Freedom.  Kachinsky retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2007 after 32 years of commissioned service.

Kachinsky is a multiple myeloma and leukemia cancer survivor and has run 87 marathons as of May 2016.  He and wife Barb work out at the YMCA and often run or walk the village’s recreational trails.
