Dial-A-Ride Information

Welcome to the Northern Winnebago Dial-A-Ride. Eligible users are The Village of Fox Crossing and Cities of Neenah and Menasha residents: Age 60 and over (Ambulatory).

The Dial-A-Ride Service will be provided by Fox Valley Cab Company.

PLEASE sign your identification card when you receive it.

HOW TO CALL FOR A RIDE

Please schedule your ride a day in advance if possible:

• Call Fox Valley Cab at 734-4546 and ask for the Dial-A-Ride service.  Give your name, pick-up address, destination, and the time service is required.  You may request a car or a van.
• When paying your fare, present the driver with your identification card and one ticket for each one way ride.
• Dial-A-Ride Transportation hours are from 6:00a.m. to 7:00p.m. Monday through Friday and from 6:00a.m. to 2:00p.m. on Saturday.  Sunday would be by reservation only.  For all rides, you will need to cancel at least one hour in advance to avoid being charged for the ride.  Transportation will not be available on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day.

The 2019 rates are $3.50 per ride.  (In addition to the fare that you pay per one way trip, the The Village of Fox Crossing pays approximately $9.50 per one way trip.)  Fox Valley Cab requests that you have the exact change when paying for your transportation.

Each person is responsible for being ready to enter the vehicle when it arrives at the requested time.  If you do not give a one hour notice of cancellation, you will be charged for the ride.

You may reserve a regular schedule of service if you work a regular schedule or have regularly scheduled appointments.  However, if you do not need your regular pick-up, you must notify the transportation service one hour in advance, or you will be charged for the trip.

The transportation service has the right to pick up more than one patron on any trip and guarantees reasonable service time.  Each patron is responsible for his or her own fare.

This service will continue as long as there are funds available. The Village of Fox Crossing will gratefully accept contributions to the fund so that it can continue the service on a long-term basis.  Also, we will continue to search for other sources of funding.

Please Note: If there is inactivity by you for one year, your card will automatically be removed from our rider list.  You will then need to re-register.
